Overview
Íntimo (Intimate) is a dance duet that explores the fragile space between encounter and solitude. Conceived as the outcome of an ongoing artistic investigation into tango, the work deconstructs many of the genre’s conventional forms in search of the relational experience that lies beneath its recognizable codes.
Íntimo focuses on the emotional and physical dynamics of closeness, distance and mutual presence, proposing an intimate dialogue where movement becomes a means of revealing what tango is beyond its formal structures.

Presented in Buenos Aires at: IV Festival Cambalache (2006), Ventana al Imaginario (2008), 2nd International Tango Queer Festival (2008), and numerous independent tango venues including Tango Cool, Rara, Tango Queer, Cochabamba and Espacio Chilavert.
Created within Tangueteros, Íntimo emerged from a shared investigation into the expressive possibilities of tango beyond its established vocabulary. The creative process questioned how the essence of tango could remain present even as its familiar forms were gradually dismantled.
Working through improvisation, physical research and collaborative composition, the piece examined intimacy as a constantly shifting condition, where connection and separation coexist. The performance approached it as a living relationship between two bodies negotiating proximity, vulnerability and absence.
