Overview
Archipiélagos is an original interdisciplinary performance for dance and live piano that explores memory, identity and family relationships through movement, music and visual composition. Conceived around the artistic and personal relationship between dancer Adriana Viñals and pianist-composer Daniel Delgado, the work transforms biographical material into a poetic theatrical experience where choreography, live music and dramaturgy emerge through dialogue rather than narrative.
Each performance also incorporated invited artists from literature and the visual arts, who created autonomous works in real time using the performance itself as their point of departure, expanding the piece beyond the stage into a live interdisciplinary encounter.

Context and Artistic Process
Archipiélagos was conceived as a collaborative creation in which movement, music and visual composition developed simultaneously through rehearsal. The work centred on the relationship between dancer Adriana Viñals and pianist Daniel Delgado—mother and son—whose personal history became the starting point for an exploration of memory, intimacy and transformation.
The scenography was deliberately minimal: a piano, a child’s chair and a small selection of everyday objects generated an ever-changing theatrical landscape where objects, bodies and sound continuously acquired new meanings. Instead of illustrating a story, the performance invited audiences to construct connections through presence, gesture and musical interaction.
As Co-Director, I collaborated with Diego Rodríguez in a process of collective dramaturgical development, shaping the scenic language alongside the performers. The dramaturgy emerged collaboratively through improvisation, dialogue and the continuous interaction between movement, live music and visual composition.
